Developers at Gamescom "confirms" PlayStation 5 Pro is coming this year

It looks very likely that Sony is gearing up to drop another console this year with the release of the PlayStation 5 Pro, according to Jeff Grubb from Giant Bomb, a GameSpot sister site. We had previously reported an article by The Verge revealing just as much.
This time, Jeff suggested on the latest episode of the Game Mess Mornings show that the PS5 Pro could be unveiled during a Sony State of Play broadcast expected at the end of September. He also noted that the PS5 Pro was a bit of an "open secret" at this year’s Gamescom, with developers reportedly already preparing their games for the upgraded hardware.
If the timing is right, the PS5 Pro could hit shelves in October or November, giving Sony a chance to capture the holiday shopping rush. As for pricing, Jeff estimated it could be around US$600 or up to US$700 (est. S$915).
Of course, this remains firmly in the rumour territory for now, but for what it’s worth the PlayStation 4 Pro was first announced on 7 September 2016 and then released on 10 November that same year too. If Sony follows the same timeline then I guess it won’t be too long before we find out if we’ll get an upgraded PlayStation 5 release later this year.
