The Destroy All Humans! remake special editions come with backpacks and statues

Destroy All Humans! is back with some truly outrageous special editions. THQ Nordic recently unveiled the ‘Crypto-137 Edition’ and ‘DNA Collector’s Edition’ special editions, with pre-orders already available on the game’s website. Let’s break it down. 

Play

First up is the Destroy All Humans! DNA Collector’s Edition, a fairly standard collector’s edition. It goes for US$149.99 (around S$208) and contains the following:

• Crypto’N’Cow Figurine 23cm / 9-inches high approx.
• Keychain
• Six lithographs
• Eye-popping anti-stress toy
• Premium Box 35cm * 30cm * 30cm/ 14-inches * 12-inches *12-inches approx.
• All in-game Crypto skins

Next is the Destroy All Humans! Crypto-137 Edition, which goes for a whopping US$399.99 (around S$555). The price is pretty steep, but hey, you won't be finding this at the Area 51 raid. This edition includes:

• A copy of Destroy All Humans!
• Crypto-137 Figurine* 60cm / 23-inches high | 30cm / 12-inches diagonal approx.
• Crypto backpack
• Keychain
• Six lithographs
• Eye-popping anti-stress toy

If you’re just in it for the 1950s nostalgia and alien-probing mayhem, Destroy All Humans! also has a standard edition for US$39.99 (around S$55). It doesn’t include any of the special edition’s goodies, but hey, aren’t the explosions and death rays enough? 

As a huge fan of Destroy All Humans! and Destroy All Humans 2! back in the PS2’s glory days, it warms my heart to see Crypto make a comeback like this. I mean, this game was basically GTA with aliens. Who wouldn’t love that?

We’ll probably see more gameplay and announcements from the game and THQ Nordic at Gamescom later this month. Destroy All Humans! will be out for PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2020.
