Konami has rolled out a playable demo of its upcoming run-‘n’-gun Contra: Operation Galuga. For retro gaming fans who grew up in that genre, the demo offers a sneak peak into the chaos and ‘bullet hell’ that awaits us.

The demo will be available across multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.

This demo lets players experience selected scenes from the first and third levels of the game. Designed to accommodate 1 to 4 players, this teaser not only serves as a litmus test for potential fans but also promises bonus content for those who see it through to the end, redeemable in the full version upon its release.

Contra: Operation Galuga is a complete overhaul of the iconic Contra experience that many remember from the NES and arcade days of the 1980s. Players will once again put on the boots of Bill Rizer and Lance Bean. Together, they'll navigate through eight stages of unrelenting alien warfare, courtesy of the nefarious Red Falcon terrorist group.
