It finally looks like we're going to have the VR Revolution we've been promised for years now in Q1 2016.

With Sony's Playstation VR on a solid lock to make its Q1 2016 release, PS4 gamers buying the headset have nothing to worry. Now, at least, some PC gamers who will be buying the Oculus Rift can breathe a sigh of relief as well; the headset is one step closer to going on sale.

On the Oculus Rift blog, Oculus VR states that the early builds of the commercial version of the headset have started to ship to developers who have titles that will launch alongside the headset early next year.

Not only is the finalized hardware being shipped out, it also comes with the 1.0 version of the SDK (Software Development Kit), which is what the Oculus Rift's developers use to make sure games run on the headset.

The Oculus Rift will also come with Eve: Valkyrie free for those who pre-order the headset, though news about when pre-orders will open and the price are still unavailable

If you need another sign to point to Q1 2016 being a hot quarter for VR, this is it.
