Bandai Namco has announced Death Note: Killer Within, the first social deduction game inspired by the classic anime series Death Note. The game will hit PlayStation 4 and 5 on 5 November 2024 (tomorrow!). PC gamers can pick up the game a day later on 6 November via Steam.

Death Note: Killer Within brings a fresh take to the social deduction genre, by pitting up to ten players in a strategic face-off, with support for cross-play so you can expect more diverse and unpredictable matchups. The game splits players into two teams, Kira versus L, each with their own goals: Kira's side tries to seize the Death Note while L's team attempts to take Kira down.

It all boils down to bluffing and detective work, as Kira and L try to stay hidden while pulling the strings behind the scenes.

You’ll have four roles to choose from: Kira, Kira's Follower, L, and an Investigator. Each role has its own abilities and quirks, giving you a chance to adapt and come up with tactics to match shifting scenarios.

On top of that, the game offers customisation options to make the experience more personal. You can tweak your avatar with nameplates, accessories, and special effects that trigger at crucial moments, giving each game a unique touch. Check out the trailer below.
