ROG has officially launched the ROG Phone 9 Pro series in Singapore. Powered by the all-new Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and with a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED display, the gaming phone is all about cutting-edge hardware and gamer-focused features.
There are two different ROG Phone 9 Pro, but confusingly, both sound literally the same. First, there’s the standard ROG Phone 9 Pro, which comes in Phantom Black colour, 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage space. Then there’s the ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition that also comes in Phantom Black, but with a higher 24GB memory and 1TB of storage as well as the AeroActive Cooler X Pro – a cooling accessory that only works with the latest ROG Phone.

Both models are virtually identical and look unmistakably ROG. The phones sport a matte finish crafted using a crystalised nano-texture and offer a smooth feel while resisting fingerprints. There’s a new AniMe Vision mini-LED display on the rear, which now comes with 648 programmable mini-LEDs for added personalisation and style. It also retains the hallmark AirTrigger touch system that allows for advanced controls such as Dual Action and Gyroscope Aiming. Even the specs of its AMOLED display are impressive: a power-saving 185Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR and a colour-calibrated screen.
Complementing the display is an equally impressive audio system, which includes front-facing stereo speakers and the AeroActive Cooler X Pro doubling as a subwoofer for enhanced bass. When paired with official ROG cases, ROG says the Audio Redirect feature further “improves sound projection for a more immersive experience”.
The ROG Phone 9 Pro gaming phones arrive with a strong esports track record, having been the official device for tournaments like the MLBB M6 World Championship and MPL Malaysia Season 14. If you’re looking to score one, it is now available at $1,599 for the ROG Phone 9 Pro and $1,999 for the ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition at all authorised ASUS mobile resellers as well as the ASUS e-store.
