Apple names 2025 Design Award winners with Taobao and Singapore-made Infinity Nikki in the spotlight

Ahead of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next week, Apple has announced the winners and finalists of its 2025 Apple Design Awards. The awards, which span categories such as Innovation, Visuals and Graphics, and Interaction, serve as a barometer of what Apple sees as best-in-class design and user experience within its App Store.
For our Singaporean readers, two apps on the list stand out: Taobao and Infinity Nikki. The former, a staple in the online shopping habits of many Singaporeans, picked up recognition in the Interaction category for refining its interface in ways that make mobile commerce more seamless and tactile via the Vision Pro headset.
On the gaming front, Infinity Nikki was spotlighted in the Visuals and Graphics category. Developed by local developer Infold Games, the title is known for its blend of open-world exploration and fashion-centric gameplay.
