Anime Festival Asia Singapore (AFA SG) is coming back to Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre again, from 29 November to 1 December. Like past years, the organisers will be bringing along a host of exciting events that anime fans won’t want to miss.
For many anime and Japanese pop culture fans, AFA has always been a major event on the anime calendar, and 2024 is shaping up to be one of its biggest yet. Headlining the event is the AFA X Japan Music Festival, which will have well-known artists like Aqua Timez and T.M. Revolutiion performing some of their best anime hits live. There will also be artist Q&A sessions, offering fans a rare look behind the scenes of their favourite hits.

For those who have been caught up in the VTuber craze, there are some exciting panels on offer featuring talent from hololive. This is a unique opportunity to connect with virtual personalities who have taken the online world by storm.
But what is an AFA event without its most popular stape – cosplay! Once again, attendees will have a chance to showcase their creativity through character costumes, with cosplayers from all over the region descending on the festival. Photographers, get ready.
New for this year’s event is a gaming area called GameOn, which is targeted at anime-related games. It’ll be a place for hands-on experiences with game demos and previews – we are hoping there will be a lot of Bandai Namco franchises on show. Cross fingers.
Another fans’ favourite, the Creator's Hub, is back this year. It’s an excellent opportunity to support local talent and find some unique art and merchandise you won’t see elsewhere.
