Blizzard Entertainment’s most popular franchises, Overwatch 2 and World of Warcraft are having an ongoing collaboration from now till 30 September. The collaboration will bring the realms of Azeroth and Future Earth together for the celebration of World Of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary.
During the limited-time event, Overwatch 2 players will get four new Legendary skins that pay homage to iconic World of Warcraft characters. The skins include Sylvanas Windrunner Widowmaker, Lich King Reinhardt, Thrall Zenyatta, and Diamond Magni Torbjorn. Check them out below.

Beyond cosmetic changes, the skins come with new Plays of the Game cinematics as well. For example, Reinhardt's Lich King Play of the Game screen features a background from the original Lich King cinematic, bringing Azeroth's ruler directly into the world of Overwatch 2. Additionally, the skins come with emotes inspired by World of Warcraft's NPC quest givers.
Players participating in the event can collect up to ten free rewards, including charms, sprays, icons, and name cards. For those who have cash to spare, a mega bundle will be available for purchase, containing all skins and cosmetics from this special collaboration.
Starting 24 September, Overwatch 2 will have its own anniversary event, lasting for a month. This event will feature game modes from the past year, rotating weekly. The first week will showcase the Beast Hunt and Community Crafted modes. Week two will see the return of April Fools 2024 and the challenges of Cosmic Crisis. The third week will bring back Mirrorwatch and Prop Hunt.
All in all, if you’re an Overwatch 2 Player, there is plenty to look forward to in the coming month.
