Southeast Asia gets Persona’s first gacha game with Persona 5: The Phantom X
A week after it went live for the rest of the world.

It seems like Southeast Asia drew a bit of a short straw when it came to this game’s release, as the rest of the world got to experience the Persona 5 spin-off through various betas, and a global release last week.
But it doesn’t matter now, as Persona 5: The Phantom X is now available for download in the SEA region, specifically Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.
The free-to-play RPG gacha game definitely looks like Persona 5. But instead of our familiar duo of Joker and Morgana, we’re following a new protagonist, Wonder, who forms his own group of Phantom Thieves. As you can guess, this takes place in a universe parallel to that of Persona 5 proper, with a new cast of playable characters and Confidants.
But that doesn’t mean you won’t be seeing past Persona characters, though; the game’s first special collaboration event features the original Phantom Thieves of Hearts coming into contact with Wonder’s group. Take a look at the release trailer below:

Joker comes as a 5-star character in The Phantom X as part of this collaboration event, running from now until 31 July, along with other characters from the original Phantom Thieves. Also available are a gamut of rewards celebrating the game’s release that you’d expect, including free pulls and exclusive items.
Persona 5: The Phantom X was developed jointly by Atlus’s P-Studio and Perfect World Games, a Chinse developer and publisher behind other RPGs like Tower of Fantasy. The SEA and Taiwanese versions are published by IWPLAY. The game is available now on iOS and Android, as well as on PC (though for the latter, you’ll have to download it on the P5X website itself).
