Shinobi: Art of Vengeance

Originally briefly teased at The Game Awards 2023, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is the latest entry in the Shinobi franchise. It will launch on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on 29 August. Developed by Sega and Lizardcube, the 2D combat platformer game will see longtime series protagonist Joe Musashi go on a quest driven by vengeance to hunt down those who have destroyed his village.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is now available for pre-order for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Additionally, the game is also available to play on PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

If you’re a fan of the Sonic Racing series, check out the latest trailer which shows a glimpse of how the new mechanic of Travel Rings works. As you race, you can warp to different CrossWorlds chosen by the leader meaning that races can take place on the land, sea, and air at any point during the race. Besides that, Sega has also officially announced that Extreme Gear hoverboards will be returning to the series, allowing for a fun boost-based racing style.
No official release date has been set, though a Closed Network Test (CNT) is currently planned for PlayStation 5 players on 21 February. For more information regarding the CNT, check out the official game webpage here.
Stellar Blade PC release and Goddess of Victory: Nikke DLC

One of the more surprising announcements during the State of Play livestream was a surprise collaboration between Stellar Blade and the mobile action RPG Goddess of Victory: Nikke. The DLC, which will be available sometime in June 2025, introduces a Nikke-themed boss fight, new outfits, and collectable dolls and stickers.
Besides the DLC, the developers have also announced a PC version of Stellar Blade which is set to launch alongside the DLC. If you haven’t already heard about the game, check out our Stellar Blade review here.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger

There was a new Digimon game announced at today’s State of Play. Digimon Story Time Stranger is a new JRPG in which players collect and train Digimons to prevent a world collapse. The game features an improved battle system, a new Digital World, and returning characters like Agumon and Omnimon in new roles.
Like previous Digimon games, the game focuses on collecting, evolving, and customising Digimons as players battle against enemies in turn-based combat.
Lost Soul Aside

Lost Soul Aside, an action RPG developed by Ultizero Games is launching on the PlayStation 5 and PC on 30 May. The game, set within a sci-fi fantasy world, is centred around Kaser and his dragon-like companion, Arena, as they embark on a journey to explore his connection with Arena and the mysteries surrounding their powers.
Pre-orders will start on 19 February and will include Kaser's original outfit, in-game currency, and healing potions. There's also a Digital Deluxe Edition version that comes with these bonuses, plus Arena's golden outfit, weapon skins, accessories, a digital soundtrack, and an art book. More information regarding the game can be found here.
Dave the Diver crossover DLC

Dave the Diver gets a new crossover DLC featuring Kasuga Ichiban from the Like a Dragon series (Yakuza). Titled "Ichiban's Holiday", the DLC sees Ichiban taking a holiday at the Blue Hole – the location in which the Dave the Diver game is set. Unfortunately for him, trouble seems to follow Ichiban wherever he goes, and he must team up with Dave to stop a dolphin-poaching syndicate from wreaking havoc.
The DLC will be available sometime this April as a paid DLC and will feature content from both games, including karaoke mini-games and recruitable characters from the Like a Dragon series for Dave’s restaurant. Check out the blog page here for more information.
Warriors: Abyss

If Stellar Blade was a surprise, the announcement of Warriors: Abyss was an even bigger shocker. Koei Tecmo has somehow managed to keep the release of the game under wraps and has officially announced the immediate release of Warriors: Abyss on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
The new entry in the Warriors franchise features over 100 unique characters, the series' signature large-scale combat, and free character updates including Dynasty Warriors Jin Kingdom and more planned for post-launch. The game is now available to play on both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, and players will receive a free Dynasty Warriors costume set if they purchase the game before 14 March.
Borderlands 4 official release date confirmed

Borderlands 4 now has an official release date. The date to mark is 23 September, and to celebrate the release date, Gearbox has unveiled a brand-new gameplay trailer that gives players a better look at the game. Besides the trailer, there was also mention of a Borderlands 4-themed State of Play arriving sometime later this Spring.
