In pictures: The serious business of VR at Computex 2016

If there's just one word to describe the trend we saw from Computex 2016, that would be "VR". At almost every turn and every corner, you'll find some demo or aspect of virtual reality being showcased - whether it's related to the company's core offerings or if it's just a crowd puller. Join us and see what we've experienced too!

Over at HTC's booth, you could soar through a cityscape as if you were a bird! Again, using some props (including a fan to simulate wind) and the use of HTC's Vive VR headset, attendees managed to fly free and leave their troubles behind - well, for a while at least. Experience it over here!

Here's another demo at HTC, this time in a Battlefield-like game segment. What's interesting was how the audience too joined in to provide direction and quick advise as to what weapon to use and who/where to direct it at as the attendee was grappling around to stay alive! This is spectator-gaming at its finest.

Not to be left behind, Samsung put on one of the most adrenaline pumping VR gaming demos with their Galaxy S7 devices coupled with their Gear VR heads and looping participants through a rollercoaster or space fighter simulator on a chair that can effortlessly spin 360 degrees if required! Watch our Facebook video feeds of this in action over here and here.

This is a peculiar VR game. In it, players are tasked with building their own computer system!
