CEE is happening right now!
The CEE show is here and it’s happening at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre levels 3 and 4. There are plenty of products to try and good deals to be found if you look hard enough. I went down to have a look-see with the rest of the HWZ team, and here are some of my favourite deals that I’ve found.
Don't forget to catch all of our IT Show 2024 coverage at the Tech Show Portal where you'll also find full brochure listings, interesting articles, reviews, and more.
As a reminder, CEE 2024 is happening this weekend 23 to 26 May, at Suntec Convention Centre, level 3 and 4, from 11am to 9pm.
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i
Need a new notebook for school or work? The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i (83Dc0009SB) is lightweight yet powerful enough to run any productivity apps you throw at it.
At just 1.48kg, the IdeaPad Slim 5i features a 14-inch OLED panel (1920 x 1200 pixels resolution) powered by an Intel Core Ultra5 125H processor with 16GB of DDR5 RAM. The variant in the photo comes with 512GB of Gen 4 SSD for storage and also supports Wi-Fi 6E.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i is S$1,299 at CEE 2024 and comes with a free Lenovo backpack. You can find the notebook at the Challenger booth on level 3.
Zuoya GMK 81
Build your own keyboard down here at MASH. The Zuoya GMK 81 is a wireless 75% keyboard with all the essential keys you need. Building a keyboard is simple and can be done in three simple steps.
To get started, choose from one of five keyboards ranging from a full 100% to 65%. The next step is to choose which switches you like the most. If you’re a fan of clicky switches, why not go for the Kalih Box White. There is also the AKKO Piano Pro for those looking for a deeper, low-profile sound. The final step is to choose your keycaps. Personally, I like the Artic keycaps found on this GMK 81 but you can go for something more eye-catching like the Neon keycaps.
One special thing about the Zuoya GMK 81 is that it has a small 0.96-inch LCD screen that you can customise to your liking. It can be done through a separate software program.
Found at the MASH booth (8119), the Zuoya GMK 81 equipped with switches and keycaps will cost you S$199.
ROG Moonstone ACE L
Be careful when handling this mouse pad. The ROG Moonstone ACE L is a tempered glass gaming mouse pad, which means it's heavy and relatively fragile.
Compared to traditional cloth mouse pads, the biggest appeal of glass mouse pads is the extremely low initial friction which is great for tracking (for those on high sensitivity), but this also means next to no ability to stop on a dime without additional force from your arm/wrist.
Measuring 500 x 400 mm, the Moonstone Ace has a smooth matte surface and a noise-reducing design to ensure swipes are quiet during use. The mouse pad also has a full silicone base to provide extra stability while use.
The ROG Moonstone ACE L can be purchased from the Challenger booth on level 3 for S$159.
Phillips Evnia 27M2C5500W
Why not add the Phillips Evnia 27M2C5500W gaming monitor to your setup. Featuring a 1000R-curved 27-inch VA panel, it supports QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) and features a fast 240Hz refresh rate. It also meets the VESA DisplayHRD400 standard.
In terms of connectivity, the 27-inch monitor has four USB ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and two version 1.4 DisplayPorts.
Besides gaming, the monitor also has over 92% sRGB colour coverage, making it useable for any casual creative work.
Read our coverage of the Philips Evnia 27M2C5500W gaming monitor here.
For S$599 (U.P $899), you can find the Phillips Evnia 27M2C5500W gaming monitor at the CR GROUP booth (8121).
Logitech G Pro X Superlight
The Logitech G Pro X Superlight needs no introduction. It is one of the lightest mice available on the market today weighing less than 63g.
The combination of the zero-additive PTFE feet and the 25,600 DPI HERO 25K sensor makes the mouse responsive when using both wrist and arm movements. The G Pro X Superlight also has 20M Omron switches which makes it less prone to accidental double-clicking.
For more information about the G Pro X Superlight, you can check out our highly-rated review here.
The G Pro X Superlight is available at the Challenger Booth (305) on level 3 and is S$155.
Acer Aspire Lite
One of the more affordable notebooks that I saw at the show was the Aspire Lite 14. This has a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. It's also powered by an Intel Core i5-1235U processor with 16GB of memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. It's going for S$699 (U.P. S$948) and you can find it at the CR GROUP Booth (8121).
