Singapore-made indie game Cat Quest III coming to App Store on International Cat Day
You still have to pay to play the full version though
Are you a gamer and a cat lover? Then you’re in for a treat this International Cat Day. Singapore’s very own The Gentlebros, the indie team behind the Cat Quest series, have dropped Cat Quest III on the App Store just in time for the occasion. It’s available to download for free on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with a special launch offer that runs until 21 August.
This isn’t the first time The Gentlebros have celebrated International Cat Day though – they have done something similar with Apple Arcade back in 2020.
Cat Quest III for App Store brings all the content from the console and PC versions alongside some important mobile-specific tweaks. The game now supports full touch-screen controls, making it easy to swipe, tap, and conquer dungeons on the go. Plus, Game Center compatibility means you can track your progress and challenge friends with ease.
In a nice bit of cross-game synergy, players who already enjoy also-made-in-Singapore’s A Slight Chance of Sawblades+ will get to meet two new characters from Cat Quest III – Seeker the pirate cat and Pi-Rat, the pirate rat. These additions are now live in Apple Arcade.
For those who are new to the game, there’s a limited-time discount of up to 50% off the full version of Cat Quest III until 21 August. The game has sold over an impressive 365,000 copies across other platforms since its launch exactly a year ago.
