Blizzard brings the Druids to Diablo Immortal, with a more primal twist
Diablo Immortal’s Druids are a wilder re-imagining of the class, while keeping its nature-y roots.

The Druids might be a familiar class to long-time Diablo players, and Blizzard is bringing them back in its mobile MMORPG Diablo Immortal come 3 July. But this time, they’re not the usual Druids you’ve seen in Diablo games past.
Blizzard calls the Druids in Immortal a “new breed” compared to the ones we’ve seen in the world of Sanctuary, a result of a branch of Druids isolating themselves in the Sharval Wilds following a rift that occurred a long time ago. The Wilds were earlier introduced as a new zone in Diablo Immortal back in March.
Because of this, Immortal’s Druids take on a more primal design in visuals and gameplay, with Blizzard saying that speed and agility were its focuses in creating the new Druid class. Take a look at the announcement trailer here:

Despite the refresh, they still retain the affinity with nature that’s been the hallmark of Diablo’s Druids, including animal shapeshifting, summons and elemental magic. In particular, the Werebear and Werewolf forms make a return to Diablo Immortal, while abilities like the Stag Charge and Raven Swarm are new animal-based attacks that help make the class feel more dynamic in movement.
The introduction of the Druid also comes with a new resource called Primal Power, which acts as a mana equivalent for the Druids’ attacks. Additionally, the game will get 60 new Legendary items for the class, so get ready to start building once the new class releases in just under a week.
You’ll be able to access the Druid class via character creation and class change, but you’ll also get to try them out through the three-week long Primal Plane event, similar to the existing Fractured Plane event, with the exception being that the Druid is the only playable class. The Druids will also have their own origin quest, titled Grovekeeper’s Call, which upon completion will remove the class change cooldown.
All these additions will come to Diablo Immortal in a free content update on 3 July for all players.
