HWZ Deal Alert: 28th August 2017
Mondays are dreary, but here's a fresh round of deals to kickstart things!
Got deal, got talk! GDGT! =)
New week, new round of deals! Perhaps you're looking for a cheap convertible or a new game to play with?
1. Acer Spin 7
The Acer Spin 7 is a svelte and affordable convertible that measures just over a centimeter thick and weighs 1.2kg. It is equipped with a dual-core Intel Core i7-7Y75 (1.3GHz, 4MB L3 cache) processor, 8GB of LPDDR3 memory, and a 256GB SSD. Other features include 2x2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi and a fairly generous 14-inch 1,920 x 1,080-pixel IPS display.
It ships with Windows 10 Pro, so you can get certain business-oriented features with it as well. It is available for S$1,698 (U.P. S$2,097) on Hachi.tech.
New members can get an extra S$10 off if they use the coupon code HACHIP10 at check-out, while Citibank card holders can save a further S$25 with the code CITISPECIAL.
2. Creative Sound BlasterX Katana
Creative’s Sound BlasterX Katana soundbar is one of the best you can get for the money. Despite its diminutive size, it impressed us with its audio performance, and its Aurora reactive lighting system should add a little pizzazz to any system.
It features five drivers, comprising two midbass drivers, two tweeters, and a single long-throw driver in the included subwoofer.
You can get it at S$379 (U.P. S$399) on Hachi.tech.
3. Elysium Dot by lofree
Updated on 28 Aug 9:24PM: Thanks to a reader's tip, we've replaced the original deal from Lazada with a better deal from Hachi.tech. Thanks!
The Elysium Dot mechanical keyboard by Lofree is a stylish option for Mac users looking to hop onto the mechanical keyboard train.
It supports both wired and Bluetooth operation and uses Gateron Blue switches in a 78-key layout, but you’ll have to get used to the unconventional round keys. It can be yours for S$139 (U.P. S$179) on Hachi.tech, and is available in seven different colors.
4. Prey
One of the latest AAA games to hit the market, Prey is an action-packed sci-fi shooter that has you battle for survival aboard a space station overrun by aliens. It sounds simple enough, but there’s a big twist waiting for you if you get to the end.
It is selling on Steam at S$39.50 (U.P. S$79), 50 per cent off its regular price.
