Results - 3DMark 2001SE (16-bit)

We tested the NV28 with our standard setup which consist of a SiS648 reference board with 512MB of DDR400 memory. The system was running an Intel Pentium 4 2.53GHz processor and it was based on Microsoft's Windows XP operating system.

The card we used in this test was based on the reference board which NVIDIA sent us. In order to run the card in AGP4X mode, we modified it a little to cheat the board into thinking it was an AGP4X card. So, this would give us pretty accurate and convincing results since we only altered one variable in the tests.

Let's take a look at some 16-bit results gathered from 3DMark 2001SE.

From the results above, you can gather that the difference between AGP4X and AGP8X is very minimal. In fact, it's so tiny that you won't notice it during gameplay at all. The most is only about 1% difference at low resolution and bit depth. It's pretty disappointing actually. Let's look at the next page for 32-bit results.
