PlayTest: PC Show 2008
Ever had difficulties deciding on what's best to get at an upcoming tech show, only to decide that you'll browse on the actual show floor and you get all tangled up in the hard sales tactics of the busy show floor and even succumb to impulse purchases?
Well worry no more with our very own Play Test event, you can meet up with the elite editorial team of the Hardware Zone group, get the industry's best advice with regards to your next gadget purchase and even play around with some of the coolest and latest products, some of which may not even be available yet.
Held at our own Hardware Zone office, our inaugural PlayTest event saw a healthy number of visitors despite the bad weather outside. The rainy weather certainly didn't dampen any spirits as far as we know as enthusiastic subscribers of HWM, PHOTOVIDEOi (PVi), GameAxis Unwired (GaXU) and www.hardwarezone.com deluxe members were seen asking questions and interacting with our dedicated editorial teams throughout the event.
Attendees also had the chance to check out the newest toys on the block and try out some of the latest games at the GaXU booth. Camera enthusiasts were also spotted at PVi's booth ogling at some of the bigger and expensive lenses while HWM's showcase of the very latest mobile phones and High-Def TVs made a lot of heads turn. Hardwarezone.com's several demo systems also drew considerable attention from users looking for their next big upgrade. A special talk was also on the agenda as attendees were treated to a talk by HWM's very own Andy Sim on the current HD Trends in Singapore. Lastly, prizes were offered to readers who were either lucky (as we commenced our lucky draw) or skillful (as they pitted their fingers and wrists in our SMS and Wii contests).
The chance to get in touch with our community during PlayTest was something that our Hardware Zone editorial teams were looking forward to. The feedback, the opinions and the ideas shared through our discussions with our community was certainly appreciated by us and we'd like to thank the attendees for their valuable contributions.
If you've missed out on this awesome (in our humble opinion) event, fret not! There will be another PlayTest in the near future, so do keep your eyes peeled to your mailboxes when we open registration for the next event. For now, here's a quick recap of what took place and what you might have missed.
