There are alleged plans by Intel to refresh its current Intel Core Haswell processors with a slew of new SKUs in May. In addition, the chip maker will also ship the new Z97 and H97 chipsets to board manufacturers in preparation for the next generation Broadwell processors.

A leaked Intel SSD roadmap has revealed the company’s plans to release three new SSD series. The Fultondale and Pleasantdale series SSDs will come in 2.5-inch and PCIe add-in card formats; while the Template Star drives will be available in 2.5-inch and M.2 form factors.

Intel has just announced that it has partnered up with StarHub to bring the Acer C720 Chromebook to Singapore. It's being offered free to customers who sign-up for StarHub's 200Mbps fibre home broadband plan, or StarHub's 5Mbps cable home broadband plan and a $5 monthly top-up.

GPU shipment figures for Q3 2013 have been released by Jon Peddie Research. Among the incumbent dominant players, NVIDIA had strong gains in the desktop segment. On the whole, the company's overall PC graphics shipments increased 2.3%.

Intel has begun shipping its LTE-capable XMM 7160 chip to manufacturers. Demonstrated in June this year at Computex 2013, the XMM 7160 slim modem platform supports 15 global LTE bands, as well as 2G, 3G and voice-over-LTE services.
