According to a Bloomberg report, Microsoft has signed a deal with AMD such that the former's next generation Xbox will feature AMD's Samara mobile APU. This development comes in the wake of our earlier report of a possible unveiling of Microsoft's next generation Xbox on 21 May.

Sources have informed Bloomberg that Microsoft may be planning to launch their next iteration of the Xbox gaming console in late 2013. Apparently the Xbox 720 will be sold for US$299 with Kinect, HUD glasses and cloud gaming all bundled in.

Ouya, a US-based startup, plans to take its Android-based gaming console to Kickstarter for funding. It plans to rejuvenate the TV gaming console scene by pricing its system cheap, which will cost less than $100, and offer interested developers a truly open-source platform to showcase their wares!
