Firefox Phones to Hit Market Later This Year, First Commercial Build of OS Debuts at MWC 2013 (Updated with Video!)
Four hardware makers - Alcatel, LG, ZTE, and Huawei - are set to build Firefox phones, which will start retailing from 17 carriers worldwide, later this year. Mozilla has also announced that it is also demonstrating its first commercial build of its Firefox OS at the MWC 2013.
Sony Joins in, Firefox Handset Already in the Works
The fifth, after Alcatel, LG, ZTE, and Huawei, to announce that they are making Firefox devices, Sony deputy CEO, Bob Ishida, has commented that their engineers are "currently working with Firefox OS Mobile and HTML 5 evolving technologies" for an upcoming device.

Mozilla Introduces Two Dev Firefox OS Smartphones for Developers
To get gears up and running, the Mozilla Foundation has also announced yesterday that smartphones running the Firefox OS will be available to developers in February. Because the devices are not designed for consumers, they will be running development versions of Firefox OS.
