Intel has begun shipping its LTE-capable XMM 7160 chip to manufacturers. Demonstrated in June this year at Computex 2013, the XMM 7160 slim modem platform supports 15 global LTE bands, as well as 2G, 3G and voice-over-LTE services.

Google recently launched Google WiFi Passport in Jakarta, Indonesia, that provides free and affordable wireless online access through designated Wi-Fi hotspots. This service is only available to Android users, whose devices are running Android 2.2 (Froyo) and above.

To expand its presence in the Southeast Asia, Evernote is partnering with StarHub to look for new areas of growth. For a start, Evernote and StarHub will offer a complimentary one-year Evernote Premium subscription to all re-contracting and new StarHub Mobile post-paid customers.
