Snapseed Launches on Android, Updates iOS Version
Acquired by Google in September, Snapseed, a popular photo-editing app, is now finally available for download on Google Play for free. Likewise, the iOS version of the app is also free for now (originally US$4.99), but has also been updated to include Google+ integration and some new filters.

Updated Facebook Messenger App for Android Removes Need for Facebook Account
Android users can now simply key in their name and phone numbers to use Facebook's updated messenger app. They're no longer required to log in with a Facebook account, which means users without Facebook accounts are also able sign up for the free messaging service.
