A SingTel spokesperson has confirmed to HardwareZone that a server glitch caused intermittent mobile data access for some customers at approximately 11.05AM. All data services were normalized within 20 minutes.

M1's preliminary investigations reveal that a call processing software issue resulted in the service outage earlier this morning. To compensate its customers for the inconvenience caused, M1 is offering one day of free local mobile calls, local SMS and MMS on February 9, Sunday.
M1 posted on its Facebook Page an hour ago that some customers are experiencing problems sending text messages or making voice calls. (Updated at 11.30AM: We have received feedback from M1 customers that they did not have any service signal on their phones while some experienced no mobile data connectivity.)

From 1st January 2014, M1 will introduce a one-minute minimum charge on all outgoing local voice and video calls on Per Second Billing plans, with each additional second after that billed as usual. On the same day, M1 will also be doubling its excess data charges.

M1 claims that a software bug is the cause for intermittent 3G data issues yesterday morning. Its engineers had successfully resolved the issue by 2PM yesterday.
