M1 Limited (M1) today announced the appointment of Alcatel-Lucent to deploy a Small Cell (Femtocell) solution to further enhance its 3G radio coverage and capacity in indoor premises. It will be made available in Q3 2013.

M1 has selected Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) to modernize its mobile networks, as well as to deploy a nationwide 3G radio network on the 900MHz frequency band, at the value of up to S$85 million.
DBS Bank has announced that its virtual credit card, DBS One.Tap, is now available to mobile subscribers from the three mobile network operators in Singapore.

M1 postpaid mobile users can now enjoy unlimited data roaming on global Wi-Fi hotspots across more than 120 countries and territories. Customers can log on with multiple devices at the same hotspot, through the M1 WiFi Roaming application.
