SingTel held a media briefing this afternoon to update on the service recovery efforts at the Bukit Panjang Exchange. Read on for the highlights of their efforts and related updates as and when we get new notifications.
Earlier this afternoon on 9th October, a fire broke out at SingTel's Bukit Panjang exchange, leading to partial mobile, TV, and phone outages across Singapore. Since some vendors lease SingTel's infrastructure, other service providers are also affected. Check out the updates on the repair and restoration works.

A power trip this morning caused temporary disruption to StarHub cable TV and broadband services. Within an hour or two, most of the services were restored.

Google services suffered a brief 5-minute outage early morning last Saturday at approximately 07:32am. According to GoSquared, a web traffic analytics company, this outage caused a 40% drop in global Internet traffic.

M1 intends to appeal against the penalty of S$300,000 imposed by IDA over its recent outage, stating that the company did not cross the impact threshold of 5% of base stations under the Code of Practice for Telecommunication Service Resiliency.
