Google has just taken up a 7% stake in Vevo for an estimated US$45 million, which means it's worth about US$650 million. Vevo serves music related videos, and is currently one of the most viewed channels on Youtube.

A survey done by American measurement company Nielsen has revealed that Youtube reaches more users in the 18 to 34 age group, than any other US cable network company. These viewers are what Youtube calls "Generation C", and the company reckons that advertisers need to be on Youtube in order to reach them.
