Olympus and Panasonic have both added new super telephoto lenses to the Micro Four Thirds family. Olympus’ new lens is now Micro Four Thirds’ fastest telephoto prime, while Panasonic’s new lens is Micro Four Thirds’ longest telephoto zoom.

Today, Sony is announcing the start of its 'Alpha Lens Library' program, where new and existing My Sony members can loan and test any lens before purchase for a fee. Users can review up to 20 of the brand's lenses and adapters for up to five calendar days (including the collection and return dates).

Canon is announcing a new 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM lens for the EOS M system, which brings the total number of native lenses to three. There will also be a firmware upgrade for the EOS M camera which promises to improve the auto-focus system, with an improved AF speed of up to 2.3x.

Canon is announcing an EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM lens with a built-in 1.4x extender, by flicking a lever the lens converts to a 280-560mm f/5.6 lens. The EF200-400MM F4L IS USM Extender 1.4X lens will be available end May, with a recommended retail price of S$16,599.

Nikon has announced a 1 Nikkor 32mm f/1.2 lens for the Nikon 1 mirrorless system cameras. It is the fastest Nikon 1 lens to be made available, and it also features Nikon's Nano Crystal coating as well as a Silent Wave motor and manual focus ring.

Starting 28 March, Canon will let its DSLR users try out popular Canon lenses before purchasing them in the newly launched Canon Lens 'Try and Buy' Programme. For a nominal fee, interested users will get up to two full days to try out their lenses of choice.
