Twitter has recently confirmed that it will be closing TweetDeck mobile apps on May 7. TweetDeck apps for Android, iOS and Adobe AIR will be removed from their app stores and will cease to function. TweetDeck for web and Chrome however will still be kept alive, and will be updated weekly.

Facebook is said to be working on a hashtag function -- not unlike the one used in Twitter -- to add to its stable of services. However, according to Wall Street Journal's sources, this feature won't be in effect any time soon.

Twitter has announced today that its mobile website will be available in two new languages, namely Arabic and Farsi. The feat was accomplished thanks to an expansive team of approximately 13,000 volunteers.
