TSMC announced that its 28nm process is in volume production and production wafers have been shipped to customers. TSMC is the first foundry to provide such capabilities.

Like a little pre-Christmas surprise, AMD's first 28nm GPUs may be launched this December. The exact details are not known, but the launch is believed to be symbolic in nature.
