It looks like AMD isn't going to sit quietly by as Intel steps up their plans to conquer the ultra-thin-and-light segment of the notebook market. AMD will be introducing what they call "Ultrathins" (a US$500 direct response to Intel's Ultrabooks) which run on AMD's Trinity processor chips.
AMD's Fusion is ready to tackle consumer electronics devices and that's exactly what AMD showed us in their meeting room at CES with AMD APU based tablets running Windows 8 and an Android ICS x86 port. Plus, there's even a TV powered by an APU too.

ASUS has launched its new graphics card featuring the Radeon HD 7970 GPU. The 28nm GPU is coupled with 3GB of GDDR5 for high memory bandwidth requirements. The card is also one of the first to feature a PCIe Gen3 interface that will potentially remove data bottlenecks between the GPU and CPU.

According to New Technik, AMD has revealed (and removed from) its official website the official specifications of the FX-6200 Black Edition processor, a new high-end desktop hexa-core processor with a clockspeed of 3.8 GHz and boost speeds of up to 4.1GHz.

Slides detailing the physical design and specifications of the AMD Radeon HD 7970 have been leaked. With information gleaned from them, AMD has made the card single-slot capable and it sports the familiar red and black color scheme.

Microsoft has released hotfixes for Windows 7-based and Windows Server 2008 R2-based systems that feature the AMD Bulldozer processors. These hotfixes are suppose to optimize the performance of Bulldozer CPUs on these systems.
