According to The Tech Report, the AMD FreeSync technology doesn’t enjoy across-the-board support on its Radeon GPUs. FreeSync is the company’s answer to NVIDIA’s G-Sync; both technologies attempt to align a graphics card’s draw rates with the refresh rates of the monitor for smoother display.
