Samsung Mobile has stated that they will be showcasing a 5.5-inch flexible display with 720p resolution and 267ppi at CES 2013. This is of course, not the first time that Samsung will be showing off its arsenal of flexible displays - back at last year's CES, they showed off a smaller 4.5-inch WVGA screen.

StarHub has announced a new TV service in the form of a new pay-as-you-watch cable TV plan. Called 'Anytime TV', it's aimed at the segment of customers who would prefer a more flexible, pay-as-you-watch cable TV service as they may not want to commit to a monthly subscription.

LG has announced that it is planning to launch its 55-inch OLED TV in Korea this year, followed by other key markets as production ramps up. Also, LG will expand its OLED TV lineup for 2013 with a variety of next-gen products.
Ultra-D has developed a ground breaking algorithm where it adds resolution data to existing content to deliver more than 1080p all the way up to 2160p.

Sharp will sell a 9.9% stake (about 121.65 million new shares) to the Hon Hai Group for 66.9 billion yen (US$807 million). This will make Hon Hai Sharp's largest shareholder.
