Twitter has recently confirmed that it will be closing TweetDeck mobile apps on May 7. TweetDeck apps for Android, iOS and Adobe AIR will be removed from their app stores and will cease to function. TweetDeck for web and Chrome however will still be kept alive, and will be updated weekly.

The new Facebook update for iOS brings Chat Heads to iPhone, but only for messaging within Facebook. Other changes include Stickers, giant illustrated emoticons, and a cleaner, easier to read design for iPad.

Facebook sent out invites for an event on 4th April with a teaser to see its new home on Android. Sources told TechCrunch that Facebook will be launching a modified Android version with Facebook integration on the home screen of a HTC phone.
