According to the rumor mill, Facebook is said to have acquired 750 patents from IBM, possibly to help it counter allegations of patent infringement.
While uploading high definition photos is not new to Facebook, only now has the social media giant introduced an update that will display photos in high resolution by default, which can be up to four times larger than before, depending on the user's display.
