All New Homes to be Installed with Fibre Points According to Revised Code by IDA
To provide easier access to fibre broadband for new homes, the IDA has made some changes to the Code of Practice for Info-communication Facilities in Buildings (COPIF), which include the installation of optical fibre points in all new homes. These revisions will take effect from 1 May 2013.

StarHub TV on Fibre to Roll Out on 18 Mar
Come 18 Mar, StarHub will launch a new Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) pay TV service for commercial customers. Named StarHub TV on Fibre, this service will offer three times as many TV channels and a new range of high-definition content, compared to the current Digital Terrestrial Television (DTTV) service.

Viewqwest Launches Freedom VPN and Bundles IPTV and Voice with Fibernet
Viewqwest, a provider of next generation connectivity, has launched its Freedom VPN service and is now bundling IPTV and voice services with its Fibernet broadband plan. Freedom VPN is available as an add-on service to any existing Viewqwest plan at S$10 per month, while the new bundle will cost S$65 per month.

Viewqwest to Introduce NGNBN Residential Plans with Unlimited International Bandwidth
Viewqwest will extend its Fibernet services without International caps to residential users in the first quarter. The residential roll-out will take place in seven exchanges, mainly in Orchard, Ayer Rajah, East, Jurong West, Tuas, Ang Mo Kio and Bedok exchanges.
