Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note7 at Samsung's Unpacked event in New York today. The 5.7-inch device boasts a number of firsts for Samsung: it's the first dual-curved display and IP68 Note device, and it's the first Samsung device with an iris scanner and a USB Type-C port. Intrigued yet?

A few weeks back Consumer Reports subjected two Samsung Galaxy S7 Actives to a water immersion test. Unfortunately, both phones failed, displaying problems shortly after being dunked in a water tank. Samsung now says that it has fixed that problem, however it will not be issuing a recall to existing units.

Samsung's new Galaxy S7 Active has failed two water-resistance tests conducted by website Consumer Reports. The tests, which submerged two S7 Actives into a tank of water resulted in a dead screen in one phone and water entering the camera lenses and SIM card slot of the other.
