DigiTimes and SamMobile report that Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ on 12 August. In addition, both devices are expected to hit retail shelves on 21 August.
Samsung has filed a trademark for Apps Edge, which hints that the company may be developing apps optimized to make use of the edge displays of its Galaxy devices.
SamMobile received information from inside sources that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will come with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. This puts the phablet device on par with the upcoming OnePlus 2.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Note 5 by mid-August to avoid fighting for consumers' attention in September when Apple is believed to unveil its new iPhones.
