A total of three Chromebooks from Acer, HP and Samsung have now been introduced to Singapore. These notebooks will be available in Courts retail stores across the island. The most affordable Chromebook would be the Acer C7 which retails at S$369.

In its ongoing legal battles with Samsung, Apple is adding five new patents to its claim. The patents specifically targets Samsung's new S4 and the Google Now service for Android.

Google has announced a version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 that runs stock Android. Priced at US$649, it will be available on the Google Play store on June 26. It's unknown at the moment if this device will be sold in other markets.

Samsung has announced its next-generation 5G wireless mobile technology that is touted to be several hundred times faster than existing 4G networks in terms of data transmission. Currently in testing, Samsung's new 5G technology operates in the millimeter-wave Ka bands for cellular communication.

In the first quarter of 2013, Apple managed to regain fifth place in the Chinese mobile market with an eight percent market share. For the last two quarters in 2012, it was languishing in 6th place, while Samsung remained firmly in the top spot with a 20 percent market share.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 with LTE will be available in Singapore from 27 April 2013, at $998, without contract, in Black Mist and White Frost.
Samsung has admitted to hiring students in Taiwan to post fake online reviews slamming the phones of arch-rival HTC and are now facing investigations of false advertising. Samsung called the incident "unfortunate and occurred due to insufficient understanding of these fundamental principles."
