Samsung Electronics today announced the world's first Tizen-powered smartphone, the Samsung Z. It will be available in Q3 in Russia and is expected to be rolled out to other markets.
Samsung Galaxy Gear owners now have one less reason to upgrade to the Gear 2. A new software update is now available to switch the smart watch's OS from Android to Tizen, which brings several new features and improvements.

Hong Kong telco HKT, in partnership with Huawei, today launched the world's first seamless VoLTE (Voice over LTE) service utilizing the latest VoLTE 3GPP standard Release 10 technology. The service is only available with Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 LTE smartphone and is the first to enable totally seamless handover of voice calls from 4G to 3G coverage.
