Sony has announced three new digital imaging products - a new high zoom Cyber-Shot camera with integrated Wi-Fi and GPS Log Recording capabilities, a new handheld projector Handycam with enhanced durability for those who love to travel, as well as the successor to the 3D digital recording binoculars that Sony had launched in 2011.

Along with four Handycam models announced at CES 2013, Sony is also releasing the HDR-PJ230E and HDR-TD30VE. All new Handycams feature a wide-angle lens with less than 30mm focal length, enabling scenic landscapes and large groups of people to be captured in a single shot.

Sony has announced a new Handycam range of Full HD camcorders at the CES 2013. The new Handycam models come with proprietary Balanced Optical SteadyShot technology, Exmor R CMOS sensor, and Advanced Sound System (on selected models), among others.

The first Handycam with a 35mm full frame sensor from Sony, the NEX-VG900 packs a 24.3-megapixel Sony-developed full frame Exmor CMOS sensor approximately 40 times larger than the equivalent in ordinary consumer camcorders. It's also more than twice the size of the APS-C sized sensor found in other interchangeable lens Handycam models.
