Huawei's Chief Marketing Officer Yu Chengdong has given everyone a head start for MWC 2012 with a few early words - the Chinese company is reportedly showcasing another smartphone named the Ascend D1 Q, alongside a MediaPad 10 tablet during the annual event at Barcelona.
Motorola is expected to unveil its first Intel-powered Android 4.0 handset at Mobile World Congress 2012. Besides running on Intel's Medfield processor, the biggest selling feature of the unnamed device is its camera, which is said to boast instant-on and 15-frame-per-second burst mode.

Images and specs for the upcoming LG Optimus 3D 2 have been published online before its debut at MWC, BGR reports.
U.S. and Europeans regulators have finally approved Google Inc's massive US$12.5 billion buyout of Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc, Reuters reports.
CrackBerry obtained some images of the upcoming BlackBerry 10 operating system (OS). The new user interface adopts several elements from Google Android and Windows Phone 7 such as the homescreen widgets.

The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office has published a patent application from Apple, prompting speculations that future iOS and iMac devices might come with a 3D eye-tracking-based interface, reports PatentlyApple.
Press invites are usually a hint at what will be announced at the press conference. NVIDIA definitely took that route with the words "quad-core" and a smartphone put together within the press invite, hinting at the unveiling of a quad-core smartphone during MWC 2012.

The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Tab 7.7 will be available in Singapore from 11 February at S$948 and S$898 respectively. Samsung also adds a new color, coral pink to its current flagship model, the Galaxy S II.
