Gigabyte has just announced details of test results that confirm three of its Thunderbolt-enabled Intel Z77 motherboards support 4K resolution video displays. The testing carried out at the company's testing facility in Japan on an Eizo FDH3601 4K display.

Knowing that good things come in pairs, Gigabyte has revealed its dual-port Thunderbolt motherboards based on Intel Z77 Express chipset. The three new Thunderbolt-enabled motherboards are the GA-Z77X-UP5 TH, GA-Z77X-UP4 TH and the GA-Z77MX-D3H TH. They are easily identified by the "TH" suffix.
