Microsoft to Drop 'Metro' Design Name, Looks to Replace It with 'Modern' (Update)
Microsoft is advising developers (and maybe even OEM partners) to not use the word 'Metro' when they're referring to the interface of Windows Phone or Windows 8. The reason? It's just a code name.

Microsoft to Tighten OEM Activation Process for Windows 8?
According to leaked slides on the Internet, Microsoft will be updating its OEM Activation mechanism to version 3.0 for the upcoming Windows 8. OA 3.0 will allow OEMs to digitally order and receive keys from Microsoft. Also, a unique product key is required to be written into each PC.
