Apple's October 23rd event is expected to reveal the much talked about 7-inch iPad Mini, followed by the 13-inch Macbook Pro with Retina display. And as if that wasn't enough, there's also speculation that the event will feature redesigned iMacs and updated Mac Minis.

Designed for Windows 8, the three touch-friendly PCs - the Satellite U920t Premier Series Convertible Ultrabook, Satellite P845t Premier Series notebook PC and Regza LX830 All-In-One desktop PC, will be available from 26 October.
According to research house Gartner, Lenovo has overtaken Hewlett-Packard as the world's number one PC manufacturer. That's good news for Lenovo, but the same study also shows that global PC shipments has fallen by 8%.

Today, Samsung revealed an extensive range of Windows 8 consumer devices that include an All-in-One PC, a touchscreen notebook, and two touchscreen convertible tablets.
Encased in a light but strong magnesium alloy casing, the 12.1-inch sturdy CF-SX2 has been tested to drop from a height of up to 76cm, and has the ability to withstand up to 100kg of pressure.

Acer has unveiled their initial Windows 8 strategy: equipping the very capable Acer Aspire M3, and the Acer Aspire V5 with touchscreens. Acer is no stranger to unconventional form factors, so this may mean that the Taiwanese manufacturer has something else up their sleeves in the coming months.
