Sony has just announced the Xperia Z1, a waterproof Android smartphone with a 20MP camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2.2 GHz quad-core CPUs, 4G LTE and a 3000 mAh battery. Like the Xperia Z, the Z1 is dust and water resistant.
Google's Sundar Pichai, head of both Android and Chrome, has confirmed that the next version of Android will be release 4.4 and will officially be named KitKat, not Key Lime Pie as previously expected.

Digg, the news website, has been revamped and relaunched last year after dropping off the radar in recent years. Previously only available as a website, an iPhone app and an RSS reader, Android users can now download the app from the Google Play store.

Hugo Barra, one of Google's top Android executives, will be leaving Google to join up-and-coming Chinese handset manufacturer, Xiaomi. It is currently one of China's fastest growing tech companies, and is said to be worth approximately US$10 billion.
A new update to Twitter (website, Android and iOS versions) will list conversations in chronological order, making it easier to follow discussions and conversations.
