3DMark for Android has been updated to version 1.0.2-1109. While most of the changes in this update are minor, Ice Storm Extreme's Physics test now runs at 720p to ensure the result is not influenced by the GPU. As a result, devices with low-end GPUs may see an increase in scores.

According to a report from Strategy Analytics, Apple leads the tablet market with 19.5 million iPads sold last quarter. Microsoft leapt to a market share of 7.5 per cent with three million Windows-based tablets shipped worldwide, up from last quarter's paltry figure of 1.6 per cent.

Twitter has recently confirmed that it will be closing TweetDeck mobile apps on May 7. TweetDeck apps for Android, iOS and Adobe AIR will be removed from their app stores and will cease to function. TweetDeck for web and Chrome however will still be kept alive, and will be updated weekly.

Google Play Music is now available in seven more countries. Users in Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Luxemburg, Austria, Ireland and Portugal are now able to store their music in Google Play for free, and stream them to their Android devices from anywhere.
