Singtel has just announced that it will begin trials using Ericsson's LTE-Advanced technologies and Samsung devices to boost mobile speeds beyond 300Mbps.

M1 announced today the launch of Singapore's first nationwide next-generation 4G network, with download speeds of up to 300mbps. All existing M1 customers currently signed up to one of M1's LTE 4G plans will be able to enjoy the faster download speeds at no additional charge.

StarHub announced that its mobile subscribers can enjoy 4G data roaming at the same rates as 3G on 25 overseas mobile networks in 21 countries from September 8. In addition, it aims to increase total 4G base station count by 70% and boost peak speeds from 75Mbps to 300Mbps by the end of the year.

As we speculated, the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A is arriving soon, but it will be marketed as the Galaxy S5 4G+ and to take advantage of its LTE-Advanced network support, SingTel will be the first to launch the device with their updated Combo plans.

SingTel today announced that it is the first telco in Singapore to roll out live 300Mbps 4G service. It is also the first telco in the country to offer 4G data roaming in China.
