LG has announced the LG Optimus Vu II, with availability slated for September in Korea. Little hardware specs have been revealed so far but the device is said to come equipped with NFC capabilities and a built-in IR blaster. More leaked specs point to an Android 4.0 build and 2GB of RAM.

Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (SingTel) and EZ-Link Pte Ltd (EZ-Link) today announced the launch of a mobile payment service for smartphones using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.
M1 today announced the launch of two Near Field Communications (NFC) services, M1 NFC Prepaid MasterCard and EZ-link CEPAS, in collaboration with MasterCard and EZ-link. Both NFC services will be made available at all M1 shops beginning today.

Citibank, DBS, EZ-Link, M1, SingTel, and StarHub, will launch the nation-wide NFC services through a secure, unified, and comprehensive third-party infrastructure managed by Gemalto and supported by IDA. Consumers will be offered a choice of multiple contactless payment products on their NFC phones, while businesses will have the option of deploying secured mobile services.
