Panasonic has announced a brand new advanced compact camera; the Lumix DMC-LF1, the first in the LF line and a sister series of the LX line of cameras. The LF1 comes with an f/2 Leica DC Vario-Summicron lens and a large 1/1.7" 12MP MOS sensor with built-in Wi-Fi.
Panasonic has revealed the Lumix G6, the successor to the mirrorless G5 camera. The new G6 comes with a 16MP Live MOS sensor and a new Venus Engine which promises high resolution with even lower image noise. Panasonic has also announced a new Lumix G 14-140mm f/3.5-5.6 lens with Power O.I.S.

Panasonic has just announced the Lumix GF6, a new mirrorless system camera in the Micro Four Thirds family. The GF6 sees a new Mode dial, a 180-degree tilting LCD, a megapixel bump from 12MP to 16MP, higher video frame-rates at 1080/50i compared to the GF5's 1080/25p, and Wi-Fi with NFC.

Panasonic President Kazuhiro Tsuga has revealed a new three-year business plan where he vows to "get rid of the loss-making businesses." Panasonic says that it will reorganize and reduce the number of business units to 49 from the current 88.

Panasonic launches six new compact cameras for the Singapore market, including the super-slim XS1, and the TZ40, a 20x optical zoom compact with Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC.
Panasonic has announced its 2013 full HD camcorder lineup, and many models now come with built-in Wi-Fi support. Two active style camcorders with a pistol-grip design are also unveiled, with one of them sporting improved tough performance.

Besides announcing that it has added two Toughbooks to its line of rugged mobile computers, Panasonic has also expanded its Toughpad line of enterprise-grade tablets with the introduction of the Toughpad FZ-G1.
Panasonic has announced the Toughbook CF-AX2, its lightest business rugged convertible Windows 8 Pro Ultrabook, and the Toughbook CF-C2, its first semi-rugged Windows 8 convertible PC.
It seems that Panasonic has found a way to increase the sensitivity of image sensors with unique 'micro color splitters', which promise to increase the amount of light directly reaching the sensor and doubling its sensitivity.
